There's good news and bad news...
The good news is euthanasia rates nationally have come down significantly over the decades. Bad news? Somewhere between 3 and 4 million dogs and cats die every year!!! WHAT?!?! The solution is simple. Spay and neuter your pets and ADOPT, DON'T SHOP. Breeding pets perpetuates needless suffering and unnecessary death. Every intentionally or unintentionally bred pet that is sold or given away potentially replaces that home for an animal that is already homeless.
GUR has some pets for adoption, but we're just one of many organizations that strive to find homes for the homeless. We don't care where you find your next furry friend, but, please, oh please, adopt!
